The Governor of Karnataka is the nominative head of the Indian state of Karnataka. He is appointed by the President of India and holds office at the President's pleasure.

Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar was the first Governor of Karnataka (then known as Governover of Mysore, since Karnataka before 1 November 1973 was known as Mysore). He was also the last Maharaja of Mysore and first and only Rajpramukh of Mysore (Karnataka) state.

Khurshed Alam Khan was the longest serving Governor of Karnataka. VS Ramadevi was the first woman Governor of the Karnataka. She was also the second female Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala is the current Governor of Karnataka. He took the charge on 1 September 2014.
