National Payments Corporation of India’s subsidiary, NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL), has joined forces with State Bank of India (SBI) to introduce a hassle-free online recharge service for SBI’s National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC) via the Bharat BillPay platform. This strategic alliance is aimed at offering commuters a seamless and convenient top-up solution for their NCMC cards, thereby eliminating the need for cumbersome queues.
The NCMC recharge facility, already operational, caters to SBI NCMC cards utilized in various transit systems such as Noida Metro, Nagpur Metro, MMRDA Line 2A & 7, Chennai Metro, Kanpur Metro, and even the Parliament Canteen, accessible through SBI’s Bharat BillPay-enabled app called SBI Unipay. Expansion to additional platforms is imminent.
