Background of Justice Aniruddha Bose:
Justice Bose embarked on his legal journey after graduating from St Xavier's College and Surendranath Law College. In 1985, he commenced his advocacy at the Calcutta High Court, eventually ascending to the position of a permanent judge in 2004. His remarkable career reached new heights when he assumed the role of Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court in 2018. As one of four justices retiring from the Supreme Court this year, Justice Bose joins the ranks of Justice Ajjikuttira Somaiah Bopanna, Justice Hima Kohli, and CJI Chandrachud, while Justice Sanjiv Khanna is poised to assume the role of the 51st CJI on November 11.
