Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bharat Tex 2024, a monumental global textile event held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, accompanied by Union Minister Piyush Goyal. This event serves as a prestigious platform showcasing India's diverse handloom and handicraft traditions, with a spotlight on Partner States Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, alongside Supporting Partner States Gujarat, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh.

Bharat Tex 2024 is not merely an exhibition; it embodies India's rich textile legacy and fosters collaboration within the industry. Featuring state pavilions from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Assam, the event brings together stakeholders including manufacturers, artisans, designers, and policymakers to discuss collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth.

One of the event's highlights is the launch of Kasturi Cotton by the Government of India, aiming to create a distinctive identity for Indian cotton, empower farmers, and enhance stakeholder benefits. This initiative seeks to ensure quality, consistency, and reduced contamination, thereby improving export competitiveness and enabling better price realization for cotton farmers.

Bharat Tex 2024 not only celebrates India's textile heritage but also reinforces its global leadership in the industry. It is anticipated to stimulate investments, collaborations, and partnerships, propelling India's textile sector to new heights of success and sustainability.
