List of Governors of Mizoram

The Governor of Mizoram is the constitutional head of Mizoram. He is appointed by the President of India for a term of five years, and holds office at the President's pleasure.

Before 1987, when Mizoram was a union territoy, Lt. Governor was the constitutional head of Mizoram.

S. P. Mukherjee was the first Lt. Governor of Mizoram. He was in the office from 24 April 1972 to 12 June 1974.

Hiteswar Saikia was the first person to take the charge of Governor's office. He was in the office from 20 February 1987 to 30 April 1979.
