A fossil park is a protected area with rich deposits of fossils. These parks are mostly used for educating the natural history of the area. Fossil parks in India are maintained by Geographical Survey of India.

Shivalik Fossil Park
Shivalik Fossil Park, also known as Suketi Fossil Park, is a notified Geo-heritage site of India. The Shivalik fossil park lies in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It has a collection of prehistoric vertebrate fossils and skeletons recovered from upper and middle Shivaliks.

Mandla Plant Fossils National Park
Mandla Plant Fossils National Park, or also known as Dindori Plant Fossils National Park, lies in the Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. It has plant fossils in the age range of 40 to 150 million years. The national park is spread over 274,100 square metres across seven villages of Dindori district.

Tiruvakkarai National Fossil Wood Park
Tiruvakkarai National Fossil Wood Park lies in the Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. It is a notified Geo-heritage monument and maintained by GSI. The estimated age of fossils in this park is around twenty million years. It is spread over 247 acres with nine pastoral enclaves.

Sathnur National Fossil Wood Park

Sathnur National Fossil Wood Park lies in Sathnur village of Tamil Nadu. It has a fossilized tree trunk which is believed to 120 million years old. Similar fossilized trunks are found in nearby Varagur, Anaipadi, Alundalippur, and Saradamangalam, all located in the range of 10 kilometres of Sathanur.

Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park
Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park is a man-made and only dinosaur fossil park in India. It is located in the Ahmedabad of India and has fossilized remains and petrified eggs of the dinosaurs on display. The eggs and fossils on display are from dinosaurs fossil excavation site in Raiyoli, Gujarat.

Ghughua Fossil Park

Ghughua Fossil Park is located near Shahpura city in Madhya Pradesh. It has plant fossils belonging to 31 genera of 18 families. The age of some fossils dates back to 65 million years. Recently, a dinosaur egg fossil also being discovered in Ghughua.

Salkhan Fossils Park
Salkhan Fossils Park, or known as Sonbhadra Fossils Park, is a fossil park in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The fossils are estimated to be 1400 million years old and the park is spread around the area of 25 hectares.

Akal Wood Fossil Park
Akal Wood Fossil Park is located near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Till now, 25 petrified fossil tree trunks have been discovered and the estimated age of these fossil trunks said to be around 180 million years.

Amkhoi Fossil Park
Amkhoi Fossil Park is located near Illambazar of West Bengal. It has fossil woods which dates back to 10 million years.

Marine Gondwana Fossil Park
Marine Gondwana Fossil Park is located near Manendragarh, Chattisgarh. It is only marine fossil park in India. The fossil here is of age range between 240 to 280 million years.
