Bhasha Samman Winners
Sahitya Akademi's Bhasha Samman
Bhasha Samman is an annual literary award given to Indian writers, who writes in regional languages, other than 24 national languages of India (eligible for Sahitya Akademi Award) by Sahitya Akademi, the National Academy of Letters, India. The award carries a monetary prize of one lakh Indian rupee and a copper plaque.

The first Bhasha Sammans were given to Dharikshan Mishra for Bhojpuri, Bansi Ram Sharma and M.R. Thakur for Himachali, K. Jathappa Rai and Mandara Keshava Bhat for Tulu, and Chandra Kanta Mura Singh for Kokborok; for their contribution to the developement of these respective languages and their literature.
